In 2009, RA State Revenue Committee succeeded in slashing overpays, RA Premier Tigran Sargsyan stated at the Jan. 29 government session. He also added that “this problem could not be tackled for years, and this is first time we managed to out overpays by AMD 25bn, thus our business entities will now have extra funds of AMD 25bn.”

RA Premier named healthcare as another sector that RA Government cut the overpays, RA Government information and PR department informed NEWS.am. “Support to birth rate and state program on obstetrics came to good. Last year birth rate increased by 3000 compared to 2008,” Sargsyan said.

According to him, significant progress was also registered in social sphere and police activities.
