Synopsys announced the adoption of its comprehensive VLSI design curriculum developed by its Armenian department. The curriculum is a part of the Synopsys Worldwide University Program and is elaborated by Synopsys Armenia Education Department (SAED), Synopsys Armenia press service informed NEWS.am-Innovation.

Synopsys world leader in software and IP for semiconductor design, verification and manufacturing successfully implemented educational model of university-industry cooperation in Armenia, Russia and China before adopting it in India. The program is aimed at training specialists to meet the complex design requirements of semiconductor industry companies, a key component in the competiveness of India’s high tech economy. The goal is to provide a qualified workforce that has the knowledge and skills necessary to be quickly productive in the industry.

Thereafter, the curriculum will be adopted in five regional centers of excellence in India.
