Turkey to invade North Iraq

According to U.S. Rand Corporation analytical agency, Turkey will invade North Iraq.

Under the report, after the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, Turkey will bring the troops into North Iraqi territory and establish control over local Kurdish authorities, Turkish Milliyet daily informs. Thus, Turkey will pressurize the head of Kurdish autonomy in Iraq Masoud Barzani, alleging as its reason the struggle against Kurdistan Workers' Party.

During the Cold War, Rand Corporation contributed to the elaboration of the U.S. foreign policy strategy.
