Azerbaijani citizens after they legalized in Ingushetia after arrival, further find themselves in the forests in arms, Ingush President Yunus-bek Yevkurov stated, speaking at the program in the Russian 1st channel.

According to Yevkurov, Azerbaijani not only support gang formations on the territory of Ingushetia, but take direct participation in their operations.

In summer 2009, name of the personal bodyguard of the leader of the armed opposition group Doku Umarov became known. The passport of Azerbaijani citizen and military ID in name of Muradov Akif Yakhya Oglu (1978) was found.

The statements on Azerbaijani citizens’ involvement in various terrorist groups were already voiced by politicians and high-ranking officials. Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov has recently delivered an abrupt speech condemning Azerbaijan. According to him, the country is a weapons and drugs supplier to terrorist organizations and criminal groups in the North Caucasus. Kadyrov said that “the major former Soviet armories are located in Georgia and Azerbaijan. All weapons and ammunition are intended for bandits. Heroin that was recently supplied is now replaced by trotyl and rifles.”

During the first Chechen war, Russian officials and mass media blamed on Azerbaijan that gangsters pass to Chechnya through the territory of the country.
