Turkey renders the largest support to EU peaceful missions among non-EU member states, Turkish National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul stated at the ministerial sitting of EU member states, NATO member states and countries willing to join NATO.

According to TRT channel, Turkish Foreign Minister called to ensure more active participation of the country in EU defense and security policy. He underlined, that Turkey supports NATO-EU cooperation, for which keeping up of the agreed frames and honoring of pledges to Ankara is essential.

Gonul also made a point of Turkey’s membership to European Defence Agency (EDA).
