Afghan minister bribed $30 million

Afghan Minister of Mines Mohammad Ibrahim Adel took U.S. $30 million bribe from Chinese mining company for a development project, msnbc website reports referring to washingtonpost.

The payment was made in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in December 2007, when China Metallurgical Group Corporation got the contract for a $2.9 billion project to extract copper in Logar province, the source informs.
