Ankara cannot become the fourth OSCE MG Co-Chair on Karabakh conflict resolution, if for no reason than the accord of Armenian side is needed, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan stated in RA National Assembly, adding that OSCE MG repeatedly voiced its stance ont eh matter.

Nalbandyan refuted newly any linkage between Karabakh conflict resolution and Armenia-Turkey normalization. “We, OSCE MG Co-Chairs as well as the leaders of the world powers repeatedly stated that these are two different processes. And if certain country representatives periodically make statements on the interconnection of the issues, then it’s a misunderstanding, but not the official position of these states,” Nalbandyan outlined. As for the participation of Turkish MFA in OSCE MG last sitting, Nalbandyan said there is nothing wrong with it, as Turkey is a member of OSCE MG.

Referring to Armenia-Turkey Protocols, Nalbandyan said they should be ratified within reasonable terms without any artificial protractions. “Today we are square with Turkey and to large extent this is due to international community efforts,” RA FM said noting the Protocols do not shake national security and infringe Armenian nations’ interests."
