Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II met with Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Naji al-Otari during his three-day visit to the country. They discussed the clergy issues in the frames of community, tolerance and interaction between various nations and cultures.

In the course of the meeting Syrian Premier underlined the steps by Government towards comprehensive development of the region and ardor to peace establishment there.

Karekin II outlined the significant progress by Syria in numerous fields including security, stability and national unity. Prospects of cooperation between Armenia and Syria were also discussed.
