LONDON. – Georgia has started producing its own anti-tank weapons, and this is twice as cheaper than importing, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili stated.

“Even though we asked everyone, no one gave us anti-tank weapons prior to 2008. [But] We no longer need to purchase [them]. [Now,] We are producing our own, which is almost twice as cheap,” Saakashvili said when visiting a scientific and technical center, the BBC Russian Service informs.

Also, the President of Georgia expressed confidence that his country will likewise design an anti-missile system.
