During the first quarter of 2012, 6,858 cars were imported to Armenia, the State Revenue Committee of Armenia reports.

The number of imported cars decreased by 846 compared to the same period of 2011. The customs value of 55 percent of imported cars does not exceed $5,000; the value of 23 percent of the cars is between $5,000 and $10,000.

Only 567 cars were imported the customs value of which exceeded $30,000.

The total customs value of imported cars in 2012 made up $43.3 million.
