YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Police will make public the voters’ list on Thursday, that is, within the prescribed time period, Police Passport and Visa Department Chief Hovhannes Kocharyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Pursuant to the law, the voters’ list is publicized three days prior to the elections, and the Passport and Visa Department has not circumvented this provision. No term envisioned by the EC [Election Code] is violated,” the Department Chief said.

Also, Hovhannes Kocharyan considered exaggerated the information that 8,000 citizens, who do not have passports, will be issued these documents.

“Not 8,000, but rather 800. Those who are 18 years of age or older have applied for the first time to be issued passports and to be able to vote. Naturally, we will continue the issuance of passports. There was no deviation from the general rule,” the Police Passport and Visa Department Chief stated.
