ETCHMIADZIN. – Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, on April 29 presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church to be built in Gish village of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).    

The Church will be constructed by the initiative of and the means provided by Russian Armenian businessman and benefactor Karen Baghryan, whose origins are from Gish village, the Holy See of Saint Etchmiadzin informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.                       

Archbishop Martirosyan congratulated the villagers for soon having their own church. 

The groundbreaking ceremony also brought together the NKR MPs, Government members, and representatives from regional and community authorities.
