YEREVAN. – The results of Armenian capital Yerevan phase of the 2011-2012 school-year Olympiad, which aims to raise the level of education in the country, are announced, and 61 of the participating 1,575 schoolchildren were declared winners.   

During the relevant ceremony held at the City Hall, Deputy Mayor Vano Vardanyan and the City Hall’s Public Education Department Head Gayane Soghomonyan presented Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan’s first-degree diplomas and mementos to the winners.     

Soghomonyan stated that the number of Olympiad participants from Armenia’s capital is growing every year.

Aside from the diplomas and mementos, the winning schoolchildren also took home Mayor Margaryan’s warm and sincere best wishes. 

The winners will represent Yerevan at the national phase of the Olympiad.
