Russian Embassy offers sympathy over Yerevan blast

YEREVAN. – The Russian Embassy in Armenia extended its compassion to those who were injured during Friday’s explosion in the capital Yerevan, and to their family and friends.  

The diplomatic mission wishes a quick recovery and future health to those injured, the Embassy’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, a tragedy occurred during the Republican Party of Armenia’s rally and concert held at capital Yerevan’s Republic Square on Friday. Hundreds of balloons filled with gas exploded and started to burn. Subsequently, the balloons’ melted rubber fell on the event participants. Those near the stage were affected the most, a total of 154 people were injured and 69 of them were discharged from hospitals after receiving medical assistance.
