YEREVAN. – A total of 80 people, who were injured as a result Friday’s unforeseen incident at Armenian capital Yerevan, are still at city’s hospitals, the Health Ministry informs. In the meantime, 74 sufferers are already discharged.     

“The patients are in satisfactory condition. There are no patients with a life-threatening condition. The number of those kept at the hospitals is lessening by the hour. The discharges are continuing. All medical facilities are provided with the necessary medications and medical equipment,” the Ministry’s release states. 

In addition, as per the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 25 of the injured are at reanimation wards.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, a tragedy occurred during the Republican Party of Armenia’s rally and concert held at capital Yerevan’s Republic Square on Friday. Hundreds of balloons filled with gas exploded and started to burn. Subsequently, the balloons’ melted rubber fell on the event participants. Those near the stage were affected the most, and a total of 154 people were injured.
