YEREVAN. – Twenty years passed since Shushi liberation should be regarded as a period of achievements, head of the United Progressive Communist Party Vazgen Safaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, maintaining of status-quo may be assessed as victory of our liberation movement.

“The Nagorno-Karabakh international recognition will happen sooner or later,” he said adding it is necessary to continue the active diplomatic actions directed to the Karabakh recognition.

“After the Soviet Union collapsed, many countries and national unities, including Karabakh, desired to be self-determined. And the international community should take this into account,” Safaryan stated.
