Artavazd Vardanyan continues hunger strike

YEREVAN. – Artavazd Vardanyan [former member of the investigation group on March 1, 2008 tragic events in downtown Yerevan], who is on hunger strike next to the Armenia’s Central Electoral Committee, has set up a tent on Wednesday. However deputy Chief of Yerevan Police Robert Melkonyan has taken it away along with his umbrella, Vardanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, the Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan has visited him trying to clarify the situation. If nothing is changed in a short period, he will turn to the court.

As for the health condition, he said he does not feel good. However, on Thursday, the seventh day he would say whether he continues it or not.
