YEREVAN.- Results of the May 6 parliamentary elections will not lead to changes in the format of the Russian-Armenian relations, said political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan.

Director of the Caucasus Institute Iskandaryan participated in the space bridge dedicated to relations between the states in the context of the recent elections in Armenia.

According to the expert, the relations between Armenia and Russia will remain the same taking into account that all the political forces entering the parliament are not supporting changes in format of relations.

Iskandaryan said the relations are one of key factors enabling Armenia to survive in this complicated region.

For Russia, Armenia is providing an opportunity to remain a significant power in the Caucasus, while for Armenia, Russia is a security umbrella in the context of problems with Turkey and Azerbaijan.
