BAKU. - Even though Azerbaijan was able to win the right of hosting the Eurovision song contest, Azerbaijanis are far from organizing such events on a truly European level. The incident which happened in Euroclub on Wednesday proves this, Express Gazeta reports.

A scandal happened in Baku’s main party club on Wednesday while Eurovision winner Dima Bilan was performing. He and Azerbaijani Nikki Jamal (who is the partner in the duet who brought Eurovision to Azerbaijan) presented their joint video clip on the song ‘Come to my world’. The audience was delighted with the song, but when Bilan started a solo live concert the whole Euroclub rushed to the stage. The security agents, mainly young Azerbaijanis who did not know English or Russian and had never seen European parties, were totally confused.

The security hurriedly rushed to drive away the journalists and guests, who were having fun, from the stage.

The Europeans were shocked but they preferred not to get into a conflict with barbaric south folk. Only the Russians turned out to be not timid at all. The actions of the security guards outraged one of the journalists, and when the security guard was trying to drive her away from the stage she lost control.

“Who are you? Am I doing something wrong? Everyone is having fun during the Eurovision and parties in Europe – that is normal. I have visited 5 Eurovisions. How many have you?” the girl said.

The security guard murmured something in return and tried to drive her away again.
