YEREVAN. - For the first time Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) displayed its political disposition, head of the New Times party Aram Karapetyan told the journalists on Friday commenting on the PAP’s decision to withdraw from the coalition.
“I guess it is not a maneuver and the step is welcomed. It testifies to the fact that new domestic-political situation is formed in Armenia,” Karapetyan said not ruling out the foreign factor.
However, he linked the rejection not to Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan but simply to its leader Gagik Tsarukyan, as he has enough contacts abroad, too.
Anyway, Karapetyan advises to wait for another couple of months to disclose whether the PAP will become an opposition or it will not.
