YEREVAN.- Armenian Speaker Samvel Nikoyan is unlikely to be appointed deputy speaker.

“I think, no,” he said. Nikoyan advised that the journalist should wait a little to learn the name of a new speaker after the meeting of Republican Party’s executive body.

“As regards the new parliament, all we have positive expectations,” Nikoyan told reporters on Wednesday.

Commenting on journalist’s remark that society is discontent with the parliamentarians, Speaker said as compared to the Ukrainian lawmakers “ours are saints”.

Asked about future cooperation with Prosperous Armenia party, Nikoyan said it is possible to cooperate with any constructive political force.
