YEREVAN. – Armenian Parliament Speaker Samvel Nikoyan received U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern on Wednesday.

Nikoyan gave appraisal of the effective cooperation established for years and said he believes it will continue with the newly formed Parliament as well. The sides touched upon bilateral relations, reinforcing inter-parliamentary cooperation and regional issues.

Nikoyan also briefed Ambassador on Armenia’s post-election political situation. The sides emphasized necessity of cooperation on the development of democratic values.
