No one can control Republican Party of Armenia – future parliament speaker

YEREVAN. – Former speaker of Armenian Parliament Hovik Abrahamyan will run for the Speaker’s office, he told the journalists after the Executive Body of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) session. In response to the viewpoint that Abrahamyan’s return to politics influenced by the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), the RPA member said that no one can control his party.

As Armenian informed earlier, President of Armenia and RPA leader Serzh Sargsyan offered the candidacy of Hovik Abrahamyan as Parliament Speaker at the RPA Executive Body session.

Incumbent Speaker Samvel Nikoyan will work in another field. Hermine Naghdalyan and Edward Sharmazanov will be appointed Deputy Speakers.
