YEREVAN. – Armenia’s fifth National Assembly (NA) has new deputy speakers. Ruling Republican Party (RPA) members Eduard Sharmazanov and Hermine Naghdalyan are elected to these posts, Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informs from the NA.    

Sharmazanov was elected by a vote of 91 for and 11 against, and Naghdalyan was voted in by 89 and 10 respectively. 

The two MPs thanked their colleagues and sat in the Deputy Speakers’ chairs. 

Next, RPA MP Davit Harutyunyan took the floor and introduced the candidates for the chairpersons of the NA committees.  

To note, Armenia’s fifth National Assembly convened its first session on Thursday.
