Armenian Gegharkunik region’s governor resigns: Vayots Dzor governor is next

YEREVAN. - Governor of Armenia’s Gegharkunik region, Prosperous Armenian Party (PAP) member Nver Poghosyan presented his resignation to Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan.

To note, Nver Poghosyan has been Gegharkunik region governor since 2007. The Governor of Vayots Dzor Sergei Bagratyan, also a PAP member, will present his resignation on June 4.

After the parliamentary elections of May 6, PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan announced that they do not consider it convenient to create a coalition, which means that PAP will not have ministers and governors in the newly formatted government.
