YEREVAN. – A land was allotted twenty years ago, in the Armenian capital city Yerevan’s Avan Administrative Region, for Russian pilots and their families, Zhoghovurd daily writes.

“[But] The newspaper learned that a considerable portion of the Russians’ dwelling place is unlawfully alienated.

[Two] Proprietors, together with Armenian MOD representatives, visited this area several days ago and conducted measurements.

They informed solely the building manager that they are preparing to commence construction activities at the area. [And] That is why the proprietors are getting ready to take away from the pilots’ families the children’s playground—which was built their means—, cut down the fruit garden, [and] close the parking lot [and] even a great portion of the road.

The [Russian] officers informed that if their problem is not resolved positively, they will ‘cut the [natural] gas supply entering Armenia,’” Zhoghovurd writes.
