YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who was in Tokyo as part of the delegation led by the President, on Wednesday met with Japan’s FM Koichiro Gemba.  

The two ministers highly assessed the dialogue between both countries, and considered it symbolic that the President’s visit to Japan comes during the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am

Nalbandian and Gemba conversed on the avenues toward developing bilateral ties, and underscored the cooperation memorandum which the two MFAs signed prior to their meeting.  

They discussed the Korean Peninsula and the South Caucasus issues, and the efforts toward their resolution. 

Also, the interlocutors reflected on the Armenian-Japanese interaction and supporting one another’s candidates within international organizations.

Armenia’s FM invited his Japanese colleague to the capital, Yerevan.
