HANOI. – On Friday Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang in the framework of his visit to Vietnam. The meeting was followed by a ceremony of signing documents on the further development of Armenian – Vietnamese relations. After signing the documents, the presidents met reporters and summarized the results of the meeting. Serzh Sargsyan and Truong Tan Sang mentioned that Armenian – Vietnamese diplomatic relations are on a high level but economic cooperation has not reached that level yet. The presidents mentioned that Armenia and Vietnam have the will to deepen the relations. The presidents emphasized the importance of developing diplomatic structures representing the countries. The Vietnamese president thanked Serzh Sargsyan for Armenia’s support to Vietnam during difficult times and also for providing good education for hundreds of Vietnamese students in Armenia’s universities. According to the president, the students who return from Armenia have great contribution to the development of Vietnam.
