16:09, 13.06.2012 Region: World News Theme: Politics

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria rejected the statements by the UN that there is a civil war between supporters and opponents of the regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

Syrian authorities claim that events in the country are caused by growing struggle against terrorism and not by the civil conflict, RIA Novosti reports.

According to them, the UN officials should be neutral, unbiased and precise in their statements.
