Happy Planet Index 2012: Armenia ahead of Georgia and Azerbaijan

Armenia occupied the 53rd position among the happiest states in the world based on British New Economic Foundation research.

Happy Planet Index 2012 (HPI) experts assessed each state on three indicators, including life expectancy, experienced well-being and Ecological Footprint. 151 states were included in the ratings.

Costa Rica tops the HPI rating, followed by Vietnam and Columbia. Armenia occupies 53rd line ahead of Georgia (55) and Azerbaijan (80). Turkey occupies 40th, while Russia 122nd lines. Botswana ends the rating.
