The reconstruction has begun of the watch house—which was being built—and the chapel at the Armenian cemetery in Malatya, Turkey, which were destroyed by the Municipality.      

The construction company, which was declared winner of the tender announced by the Municipality of Malatya, already commenced construction, Haberler news agency of Turkey informs.        

To note, the aforesaid watch house and the chapel were destroyed on February 2 and on the Municipality’s instruction, and this resulted in a huge wave of protest in Turkey and abroad. Subsequently, the mayor of Malatya claimed that the edifices were destroyed by mistake and promised to restore the damage on the account of the state.
