YEREVAN. – Relations between Armenia and the EU have high dynamics, which was claimed by both Armenia and the EU representatives satisfactorily, Armenian Deputy FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan told the journalists on Friday.

“Reforms are demands of the country and the society and reflect policy of the authorities. They refer to all fields and are one of the main ways to improve the election process,” he stated adding the EU estimations on parliamentary elections are already available.

As Mnatsakanyan said, Armenian authorities have for many times stated that they tried to build a state based on the European example and they do need reforms.

Asked why the conference was postponed, the Deputy FM said that it is necessary that it had terms, while the terms were not confirmed.

Ahead to parliamentary elections a donor conference was to be held to support Armenia in the amount of $2 billion, which was postponed. To note, as EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule’s secretary has said the EU currently postpones holding the donor conference and supporting Armenia with the promised $2 billion. He claimed it was due to the parliamentary elections, which did not justify European expectations and currently Europe will wait for the presidential elections to be held next year in Armenia.
