YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire, at the line of contact with Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, close to 9,750 times since the beginning of this year. 

Azerbaijan made use of sniper weaponry around 1,760 times, large-caliber sniper weaponry close to 200 times, and large-caliber machine guns about 190 times, Armenian MOD informs.

And as a result of Azerbaijan’s cease-fire violations since the beginning of 2012, ten Armenian military servicemen were killed and nineteen others—including two civilians—were wounded.  

To note, Azerbaijan has set new “records” in terms of cease-fire violations in recent years. It violated the ceasefire 600 times in 2006; 1,400 times in 2007; 3,500 times in 2008; 4,600 times in 2009; 7,200 times in 2010; and more than 12,600 times in 2011.
