Turkey continues to link opening of the border with Armenia to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. The remarks from Ankara come despite the international agencies’ statements saying Armenia and Turkey must normalize relations without preconditions.

On Friday Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu once again called on Armenia  “first to liberate the Azerbaijani territories”. Then, Ankara may think about normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations, he said.

Davutoglu said  Ankara will open the border and establish economic cooperation only after Armenia’s move, Trend agency reports.
