Sport and physical training are of strategic significance for Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the country will further promote the development of this sphere, NKR President Bako Sahakyan said at the Dec.25 meeting with best 2009 sportsmen and coaches.

NKR leader expressed content with results of Artsakh sportsmen at Armenian, European and world championships. According to him, Karabakhi sportsmen have potential to get higher results.

Sahakyan awarded the best sportsmen and coaches.

The Chairman of the NKR National Assembly Standing Committee on Social Affairs Arpat Avanesyan and Chairman of Sport Committee at NKR Government Razmik Hovsepyan also participated in the meeting.
