YEREVAN. – The Yerevan circus roof on Agatangeghos Street was blasted at 04.00 p.m. on Saturday.The photo coverage of the story is available here.

It was carried out as planned and without any incidents. As the roof of the building was in a state of emergency and the partial dismantling was dangerous for the employees, the explosion was preferable. In fact, the circus building has not been renovated since 1962, the year of its foundation.

To note, the State Circus property, which functioned within the Ministry of Culture, was assessed AMD 408,821,000 in 2005 and was withdrawn on competition. The staff of the circus headed by Sos Petrosyan privatized the circus for AMD 150,000,000.
