The Sandcastle Girls, a novel on the Armenian Genocide by Chris Bohjalian, will debut on the New York Times Best-Seller List on the newspaper’s website on July 27, the Armenian Weekly reported.

The Sandcastle Girls is currently seventh on the best-seller list, which will appear in the published Aug. 5 issue of the New York Times, the newspaper writes.

Earlier the novel was called must-read Book of the Week on Oprah Winfrey’s Blog.

“The Sandcastle Girls” and the Armenian Genocide issue has caught the attention of many notable American newspapers and online publications, including -“The Miami Herald,” “The Florida Times Union,” “The Minneapolis Star Tribune,” Ohio’s “The Columbus Dispatch,” “The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel,” South Carolina’s “The Hilton Head Island Packet,” Boston.com and MyCentralJersey.com.
