Iranian official arrives in Syria

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili arrived in Damascus to hold talks with Syria’s leadership, Press TV reported.  

He will hold a meeting with President Bashar Assad and other officials. He came to Damascus from Beirut where he met with Lebanon’s leaders, RBC said.

As reported earlier, rebels have kidnapped 48 Iranian pilgrims. The pilgrims lived in a hotel near the airport of Damascus. They were kidnapped while heading to Muslim shrine. Earlier, the representative of the Free Syrian Army said three of them were allegedly killed in the air attack of government forces.
