YEREVAN. – A march will take place at 5.00 p.m. from the Liberty Square in downtown Yerevan on Thursday. It will head to the Parliament Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) Yerevan Office in protection for the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) activists, who were sentenced to 2 to 6 years in jail on July 20.

The ANC Youth initiative statement says:

“The European family claiming the human rights as universal values has no right to keep silent when a European Council member-state sentences the youth for their political views. Europe must prove that it does not support the dictatorship and anti-human regime.”
