Armenian Emergency Situations Minister asks to increase rescuers’ salary

YEREVAN. – The Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia Armen Yeritsyan addressed the PM Tigran Sargsyan calling to increase the salary of the state employees, the Minister said at a press conference on Monday. The Minister’s salary makes AMD 240,000.

“I have addressed the corresponding bodies for the issue. I hope the matter will be considered in the near future and the salaries will be increased,” Yeritsyan said.

To note, rescuers in Armenia receive on average AMD 70,000-80,000 per month, which is less than $200.
