DIYARBAKIR. – A group of Armenians from French Lyon city, including Vahan Kepenkian and Sevak Artsruni accompanied by Turkish Anadolu cultural center head Osman Kavala visited the Diyarbakir Mayor Osman Baydemir.

The guests informed that they visited Diyarbakir for discussing issues of organizing a joint cultural cooperation, Turkish Star reports. 

The mayor stated that as much as Diyarbakir is a Muslim city, it also belongs to the Armenians, Yazidis and Assyrians. Besides, they condemn the tragic events occurred earlier.

Baydemir called the Armenians to return their homes.
