Star Trek continues to boldly go where no man has gone before.

And, in this connection, Google has designed yet another special homepage doodle. The short animations depict Starship Enterprise’s adventures. Just turn up the volume, click on the picture, and help Captain Kirk triumph. 

Star Trek is a worldly acclaimed scientific fiction project which comprises six television series—including a cartoon—, eleven movies, hundreds of books and stories, and numerous computer games. Star Trek has had a considerable contribution to the American culture and has created a unique following.      

Gene Roddenberry is the person behind Star Trek’s idea and its television series, which were first aired on September 8, 1966.
