YEREVAN. – Court trial on the criminal case against the opposition Republic party former member Suren Surenyan, which was headed by the Arabkir, Kanaker-Zeytun districts First Instance Court judge Armen Khachatryan, was postponed on Tuesday.

Sirunyan is charged with Article 178: Swindling, Aravot daily newspaper reports. According to the case, he stole AMD 508,000 from the victim Grigor Ghasabyan. Sirunyan was released on bail.

The court trial was postponed due to the absence of the defendant and next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 2.
