YEREVAN.- Press reports saying terrorists infiltrated into Armenia are false, spokesperson for Armenia’s National Security Service said.

“Haykakan Zhamanak daily should not have distorted words of the spokesperson. Country’s stability is more valuable than spreading false reports to promote the newspaper,” Artsvin Baghramyan said.

On Wednesday Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported about a group of Taliban terrorists who had infiltrated into Armenia.

“We were unable to formally verify [any] details on the terrorist group and a possible terrorist action. According to unofficial sources, the law enforcement is unable to verify whether the terrorists have crossed Armenia’s border illegally and are now hiding somewhere, or they have come to Armenia as, for example, tourists,” the newspaper wrote.
