KIEV. – Ukraine’s capital city Kiev will hold a presentation of ‘Illustrated Encyclopedia of the Armenian culture in Ukraine with cataloged list of Armenian cultural monuments in museums and nature reserves’ book by the Ukrainian writer and expert for the Armenian studies Irina Gayuk. The event is scheduled for Oct. 2 in the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, Analitika.at.ua reports.
The presentation is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Armenian typography.
Armenians have been living in the Ukraine for hundreds of years and have played a significant role in all spheres of the local society. The publication of the Encyclopedia will be an impetus for in-depth study of this important for Armenia and Ukraine phenomenon, as is the existence of Armenian community of Ukraine from the ancient times to the present day.
