YEREVAN. – A 2.8-magnitude quake struck the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, ten kilometers southeast of Karvachar city, on Monday at 1:37am local time.    

The tremor’s hypocenter was ten kilometers beneath the surface, and it measured 3-4 at the epicenter, Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations’ National Seismic Protection Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake was registered in northwestern Iran, in the vicinity of Tabriz city, on Sunday at 9:40am.  

The tremor’s hypocenter was 10.1 kilometers beneath the surface, and it was felt in southern Armenia, specifically in Syunik Region.
