TBILISI. – The council of Armenian organizations of Samtskhe-Javakhk in Georgia released a statement, which claims that they support neither authorities nor opposition political powers in upcoming elections.

On the threshold of the parliamentary elections, the council sent letters to the main powers of Georgia offering to organize a meeting between the representatives of the council and the main political powers in order to discuss their position on the issues of the region. However, neither ruling United National Union nor opposition Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia bloc responded those letters

Anyway, the council calls residents of the region to participate in the elections actively, hence, hampering any appliance of violation and also proving political parties that the Armenians of Javakhk stand for their rights and use all political opportunities for protecting those rights completely.
