BOSTON. – Boston will host premiere of a documentary movie on the Armenian Genocide on Oct. 28. The world premiere of the ‘Voyage to Amasia’ movie by Randy Bell and Eric Hachikian was held in Toronto last December and got the Best Documentary Prize. Earlier it was also screened at various international festivals including the 2012 Golden Apricot International Film Festival in Yerevan, Armenian Weekly.

The movie depicts Eric Hachikian’s return to his ancestral home Amasia, Turkey about 100 years after his grandmother Helen Shushan was deported during the Armenian Genocide.

The movie screening is organized by the Armenian Library and Museum of America, the Friends of Armenian Culture Society, the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research, and the Armenian Cultural Foundation. Admission is free and open to the public.
