STRASBOURG. – Azerbaijan proved once again that human rights are missing from its foreign political agenda by the scandalous deal of extraditing killer sentenced for life in jail, Armenian delegation member to PACE Naira Zohrabyan said during the speech in the PACE fall session.

She claimed that her fellow MP Pietro Marcenaro’s report was very important. Indeed foreign political agendas of some member-states of the CoE are far from being democratic and continuously neglect human rights and democratic issues, while it may lead to a very serious crisis.

His report is likely to be the direct confirmation of the deal, which took place on Aug. 31 between the CoE member states Hungary and Azerbaijan. Hungarian officials for some financial benefits extradited the Azeri killer to Azerbaijan sentenced for life in jail.

“This scandalous deal once again proved that human rights are missing from Azerbaijani foreign political agenda,” Zurabyan said adding Marcenaro is right when he claims that the CoE member-states should form their foreign policy based on universal principals of human rights.

In addition, Hungary extradited the killer to Azerbaijan due to illogical interpretation of Strasbourg Convention.
