YEREVAN.- There are three Armenians in newly elected Georgian parliament, two of them are from Armenian-populated Javakhk region, Deputy Director of the Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan told reporters on Thursday.

Georgian Dream must draw attention to the fact that ethnic minorities were not active during the parliamentary elections. It is necessary to remove the climate of fear, he added.

Minasyan considers that change of situation in Javakhk will contribute to improvement of relations of Tbilisi with Abkhazia and South Ossetia. In particular, they can reach agreement on non-use of force or political contacts.

As to the fate of Javakhk activists Melik Raisyan and aVahagn Chakhalyan, Minasyan hopes the situation will change.
